Children of the Night
Mission Statement
Children of the Night is a privately funded non-profit organization established in 1979 and dedicated to rescuing America�s children from the ravages of prostitution.
The Children of the Night home is open to child prostitutes throughout the United States, and the Children of the Night hotline is ready and able to rescue these children 24 hours a day. Our hotline staff works closely with law enforcement to rescue children from vile, dominating pimps.
Our home features an on-site school and college placement program. After youngsters complete our rigorous and comprehensive program of academic and life-skills education, caseworkers are available to provide ongoing case management to hundreds of graduates.
Project Abstract
Children of the Night operates a 24 hour hotline and a shelter home featuring an on-site school.
We are the only comprehensive program in North America dedicated to rescuing America’s children from the ravages of prostitution.
Our children are without families and adult support. Children of the Night provides that life-long support.
Many of our children pursue an advanced education in college institutions and are in need of laptop computers to keep up with their peers.
Children of the Night funds their books and school supplies for as long as our clients attend college and provide a recent college transcript.
When available, we provide used laptops which have been donated to the Children of the Night program to these clients pursuing a higher education.
Target Population
These children range in age from 17 – 40. They have been forced to prostitute in their young lives and have recovered their horrid past through participation in Children of the Night programs.
There are no other resources for them.
We would like to provide 10 laptops per year.
